Questions We Hear All the Time

Does my prescription have to be from Eye Q Optique?
Not at all. We welcome prescriptions from any licensed eye doctor. As long as it's current (typically within 1 year), we can fill it.

What if I’m not sure my prescription is still valid?
Check the expiration date on your prescription or bring it in—we’ll take a look. If it’s expired, we can schedule an eye exam at the same location, often the same day depending on availability.

Do I need an appointment to browse frames?
No appointment needed—just walk in. If you’d prefer a dedicated optician for a one-on-one styling session, feel free to call ahead and we’ll check availability.

Can I use my vision insurance for just frames and lenses?
Yes. We accept most major vision and medical plans for eyewear purchases, even if your exam was done elsewhere. You can also use FSA and HSA cards. Check our insurance page or call your nearest location to confirm your specific plan.

How long does it take to get my glasses?
With onsite labs at all of our locations, most prescriptions are ready in just a few hours to a few days—much faster than online retailers, and with a proper fitting included.
